Build Beyond is open ended. Join solo or with up to three teammates and build any project you want.
LEAD ORGANIZER
Cosmo Hacks is organized by Pranav Sirur to give high school students a place to build, learn, and meet other students.

Workshops are 30 to 45 minutes long.
04 / JUDGING
Projects are judged on five areas: idea, functionality, presentation, effort, and workshop participation.
Is the idea thoughtful, original, or a strong take on a real problem?
Does the project work well and deliver what the team says it does?
Can the team clearly explain the idea, the build process, and how to use the project?
Does the submission show strong execution, care, and meaningful work from the team?
The number of workshops your team attends is an important part of judging because it shows engagement and willingness to learn

Cosmo Hacks is open to students ages 13 to 18 in grades 9 through 12
Join solo or compete with up to three additional teammates
Each submission must include a public GitHub repository with the project code
Submit a two to three minute demo that explains the idea, how it was built, and how it works
Teams may use AI tools, but they should understand their work and be able to explain how AI was used
Projects should clearly reflect your team’s work and effort during the event

Yes. Build Beyond is a broad theme, so you can build an app, website, game, tool, experiment, or another project that takes an idea further
Submit a public GitHub repository and a short demo video that explains what your project does and how it works.
Yes. AI tools are allowed, but you should understand your project and be able to explain how you used them.
You can compete solo or find teammates in the Cosmo Hacks Discord. Teams can include up to four students
Cosmo Hacks is fully online. We will use Discord for community and announcements, along with online sessions for key event activities.
